Delete your PolicyMitra account

• Account User (the insurance advisor or agency who signed up and logs in to PolicyMitra) — this is your account.
• PolicyMitra also stores information about the clients your agency manages. That client data is held under your account; deleting your account also removes the client, policy and related data stored in it.

To permanently delete your PolicyMitra account and its associated data, follow these steps:

1. Send an email to info@createawity.tech from the email address registered on your PolicyMitra account. If you signed up with a phone number, include your registered 10-digit mobile number in the message so we can verify it.
2. Use the subject line "Delete my PolicyMitra account".
3. In the message, confirm that you want your account and all associated personal data permanently deleted.
4. We will verify that the request comes from the account owner and confirm by reply once the deletion is complete.

You may also remove individual clients and their policies at any time from within the app (open a client and choose Delete). Doing that removes only that client's data — it does not delete your whole account. To delete the entire account, use the email request above.

When your account is deleted, we remove the personal data you provided and stored in PolicyMitra, including:

• Your login and profile details: name, mobile number, email address, and password/credentials
• Your agency profile and settings (agency name, contact details, branding, message templates)
• The records you stored in the app: clients, policies and premium due-dates, follow-up tasks, sales leads, Daily Bachat (savings) records, call/interaction logs, payouts, and any documents you uploaded

After we verify your request, we delete or irreversibly anonymize your personal data within 30 days. A limited set of records may be retained only where we are required to keep them by applicable law — for example, financial, tax, accounting, audit, or dispute-resolution records — for the minimum period the law requires, after which they are securely deleted or anonymized.

Residual copies that exist in our secure, encrypted backups are removed on our regular backup-rotation cycle. This is consistent with the Data Retention section of our Privacy Policy and with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act).
